An extra layer of leather is sewn over the shoulders, elbows, knees and hips, and foam pads sit at the elbows and knees.
The outer shell is cowhide leather that is 1.2 to 1.3 mm thick. It is drum-dyed. That means the hides are turned in a large drum full of dye, so the color soaks deep into the leather. The suit comes in red. In the leather options you can choose Cowhide Leather, Monaco Leather or Kangaroo Leather. The seams are dual stitched, and the key spots are triple stitched with strong nylon thread.
Yes. The Product option lets you choose a 1 Piece Suit, a 2 Piece Suit, the Jacket alone or the Pant alone. A one-piece suit is a single garment from neck to ankle. A two-piece suit splits into a jacket and pants that zip together. The jacket or pants on their own are handy if you only need one part. You can also add matching gloves and boots to your order, each in its own size.
Several parts help the suit bend with you. Accordion leather stretch panels sit on the lower back and the knees. Stretch Cordura, a strong fabric that gives a little, sits on the sleeves, crotch and calves. The sleeves are pre-curved, so they follow the bent arm of a riding position. Soft neoprene at the cuffs and collar keeps those edges comfy. YKK semi auto-lock zippers close the front, cuffs and calves, and Velcro straps hold the neck, cuffs and calves in place.
You can pick a speed hump: No Hump, Standard Hump, Ventilated Hump or Hydro Hump. For airflow, choose No Perforation, Perforated Chest, Perforated Front or Full Perforated. Add-ons include CE Level 2 (EN 1621-1:2012), a Removable Lining, a Thermal Removable Lining and an Extra Knee Slider. Level 2 is the higher of the two CE armour levels and lets less force pass through. The standard lining is polyester mesh, and there is one inner mesh chest pocket on the left.
Men can choose from EU 42 to EU 60. That is US 32 to US 50, or XS to XXL. Women can choose from EU 38 to EU 50, which is US 6 to US 18, or XXS to XL. Measure your chest, waist, hips and inside leg. Then check your numbers against the size chart. A riding suit should fit close so the armour stays in place. If you fall between sizes, there is also a Custom Size choice.
