Moto Lab

MotoSpeeds, backed up with Moto Lab, an internal Research Development center. The R&D laboratory aims to maintain CE safety standards. It also carries out with riders to find new solutions and materials, to draw, design, and validate the technical and stylistic choices.
Moto Lab is equipped with state of the art equipment to perform a whole range of testing to ensure protection offered to users when a garment is marked as PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for motorcyclists.

Impact Protection

Impact Protection

When you are talking about Motorcycle protection performance impact protection and shock absorption are the topmost concerns for the rider. MotoSpeeds suits are equipped for the requirements of EN 1621 Motorcyclists’ Protective Clothing against mechanical impact retaining comfort and wear-ability.

Moto Lab in collaboration with the CE-certified protection manufacturers ensures the safety standards for motorcyclists protective clothing.

EN 1621-1: 2012 standard for limb joints impact protectors shoulder, elbow & Knee.
EN 1621-2: 2014 standard for back protectors.

Abrasion-Resistant

Abrasion-Resistant

No doubt, Leather is your second skin that keeps your skin safe in case of drag. The suit, boots, and gloves are tested at numerous stages to attain the resistance levels varying according to the EN 13595-1: 2002 standards.

The protection against abrasion starts with the preparation of leather in the tannery. The use of specific chemicals and special processes makes top grain leather more strong and abrasion-resistant. Moto Labs tests every batch of Leather to ensures and guarantee to exceed abrasion resistance standards.

Ergonomics

Ergonomics

A process of designing or arranging products and systems so that they fit the rider's comfort. Comfort is the key factor in winning the race by maintaining focus on the race track. Whether it’s rider's comfort, movement flexibility for the controls of your bike, or the certainty that nothing in one of our products can injure you, all these aspects of ergonomics are incorporated in protective clothing by Moto Lab.

Moto Lab has taken particular care to ensure the rider's comfort without compromising protection. For this reason, the selection of materials, designing, and arrangement of integrated protective layers are incorporated for optimal effectiveness in all circumstances.

Tear Resistance

Tear Resistance

Tearing is the silent enemy of every motorcyclist, concerning both stitching and materials. Keeping in view the protection when encountering abrasion, Moto Labs always performs above the requirements of the EN 13595-1: 2002 standard.

Normal stitching can reduce the protective capacity of the equipment to zero. Keeping this in mind, Moto Labs assures triple safety stitch (Twin seam with a single top stitch, single seam with twin top stitch, single seam with top stitched reinforcing tape) with bonded nylon thread made from pre-stabilised continuous filament nylon 6.6

Cut Resistance

Cut Resistance

A similar problem to the Tearing. Except produced in compliance with bikers’ protective EN 13595-1: 2002 standard, even the finest materials can end up in pieces due to a simple cut following an impact. Moto Labs refuses to accept even one of its products being unable to offer total resistance following damage incurred during an impact.

All of our materials have been approved by Moto Labs after having demonstrated that they meet the necessary standards for cuts resistance.

Leather

Leather

Right from the selection of skin to finished leather, strict quality standards are followed to produce thicker, stronger, soft, and comparatively flexible leather, and we name it PROTECTIVE LEATHER. Protective Leather clothing for professional motorcycle riders is manufactured to offers great abrasion, tear, and cut resistance.

Our leather passes through extensive chemical tests such as Ph, dye steadiness to sweat, AZO, aromatic amines or screening, and physical tests such as abrasion resistance, tear-resistance, and cut resistance. All these tests ensure that the leather is protective as per European Standards of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and also environmentally friendly.
