From the outside, the Dropout by Speed and Strength looks like a plain flannel shirt. Inside, removable Knox Lite CE Level 1 protectors sit in the shoulders and elbows. Aramid fabric backs those same spots to guard against scrapes. The flannel is yarn-dyed. You get two snap chest pockets, a zip pocket inside and a hidden YKK main zipper.

Knox Lite protectors sit in the shoulders and elbows. They are rated CE Level 1, the base level of the CE test for arm and leg armor. The protectors are removable, so you can take them out of the shirt. The same shoulder and elbow zones are also backed with aramid. Aramid is a tough fiber that helps guard against scrapes if you slide. The CE rating covers the protectors only, not the flannel itself.
The shirt is made of yarn-dyed flannel. Yarn-dyed means the threads get their color before they are woven. So the color runs through the cloth and is not printed on top. Under the flannel, aramid fabric backs the shoulders and elbows. This gives the look of a normal flannel shirt with added defense at the shoulders and elbows. The removable Knox Lite protectors sit in these same two zones.
Yes. You can pick one of three lining choices. No Lining keeps the shirt light. Regular Lining adds a plain inner layer. Sublimated Lining uses a printed design that is dyed into the fabric. You can also upload your own design for the lining. This lets you make the inside of the shirt your own while the outside stays a classic flannel. Make your pick on the product options when you order.
There are three pockets. Two chest pockets on the outside close with snaps. One zippered chest pocket sits on the inside, so you can keep small items out of sight. The front closes with a hidden YKK main zipper, and snaps cover it. The collar uses hidden snaps too. The cuffs close with snaps as well. From the outside, it all looks like a regular button-up shirt.
Men can pick from EU 42 to EU 60. That is US 32 to US 50, or XS to XXL. Women can pick from EU 38 to EU 50. That is US 6 to US 18, or XXS to XL. A Custom Size choice is also offered.
